Oaktree Playgroup is currently registered with The Care Standard Inspectorate for Wales; registration number W060001073.  Oaktree is situated within Parklands Primary School, Sketty Park, Swansea. 

It offers good quality affordable childcare for children of 2 years to 4 years and 11 months.  The aims and objectives of the playgroup are for the children to enjoy and have fun every day by learning through many play activities and interacting socially with other children of similar age and ability.

At present, Oaktree is open term time from

8.45am -11.45am in the morning and

12.45pm - 3.15pm in the afternoon.  The cost is £5.50 per session and all sessions include milk and a portion of fruit for every child.

The playgroup is managed by qualified, well experienced, bi-lingual staff. Cathy Holland is the playgroup manager with Mavis Blair and Maxine Hepburn as her assistants.

At Oaktree, children are encouraged to participate in a number of activities including craft making, painting, cooking and free play games. The playgroup has a good variety of toys at their disposal including bikes and scooters. There is a home corner and a book corner complete with numerous cushions for quiet times. There is a selection of role playing clothes, dolls, cars, trains, garages, Duplo-blocks with rice and sand trays for tactile development.

Oaktree playgroup is also able to use all the school facilities including the hall for wet play activities and the nursery playground on drier days.  The children thoroughly enjoy coming to Oaktree to make new friends and have lots of fun.
