Spring Term 2009 - Animals
This term we have been finding out all about Animals.
The first part of the term we found out about animals
we can keep as pets at home. After half term we talked
about animals who live in the wild.
In our classrooms we have two role play areas. One is a 'Pet Shop' and the other is a 'Vets'. In the vets we have to make the pets who are feeling unwell better. The vet works hard to look after our pets.
Despite the wintry weather just before the Half-term holiday the whole of Reception and lots of parents and grandparents went on an exciting day trip to Bristol Zoo. We saw lots of different animals and all had a close encounter with a lion and lioness!! It was a great day and we took lots of photos, drew pictures and made a class book on the computer.
We all celebrated St David's Day by dressing up in Welsh costume and taking part in a range of exciting activities.
We collected coins for Comic Relief and laid them on the corridor floor to see which class had the longest line. Mrs Whites class won with a line of 72 metres!!!
Mrs White brought Warren, Bluebell and Speckledy, her hens into school.
